I am a child of the almighty God, wife of one dedicated husband, mom of two wonderful adults. As a former home educator I continue to embrace a lifestyle of learning and to share what I have learned through writing and in person instructing.

My interests are quite varied: from firearms to food fermentation, herbs to hiking, living history to local nature study, spinning and sewing to studying the classics and the US Constitution, and more. A friend once gave me a card addressed to “My gun-totin’ hippy friend.” That is probably pretty accurate. While the topics I share here may seem disconnected at first, they do all intersect – often in surprising ways.

Most importantly, I try to view everything through the lens of Christ, taking every thought captive and transforming my mind through the power of His word.

Every post on this site is composed by a human, not a machine. I do not use Artificial Intelligence to compose my writing. Nor do I grant permission to anyone to utilize my work for AI training or any other purposes related to AI. Living, breathing humans made in the image of God DO have permission to share my writing with friends as long as appropriate credit is given.

Prior to 2026 I occasionally used stock photos from websites simply because they looked more professional. However I no longer use even those. The majority of photos on this site are personal and non-photoshopped. Obviously I am not a professional photographer, nor do I invest in lighting or other equipment. Please let these crude photos serve as an encouragement to always be real – in your online interactions and especially in your offline relationships.
