Do You Have Hope?

Do you ever look around at all the pain, suffering disease, and death in this life and get discouraged? Do you ever think: “It is not supposed to be this way!”?

You are correct. It was not supposed to be this way.

A ‘Very Good’ Beginning

Contrary to what modern teachers, historians, scientists, and others tell you, life did not happen by accident. The earth and everything in it are not products of random chance. They were created with a purpose.

Humans were individually created by a loving God. And it was very good. There was no pain, no suffering, no disease, no death.

(For more details, see Answers in Genesis.)

A Very Bad Fall

Then sin entered the world through Adam and Eve. They chose to disobey God. With sin came death. All creation was cursed.

The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

This was the beginning of suffering. All creation groans awaiting restoration. (Romans 8:22) You and I were born into this sinful, fallen world.

And each of us has sinned. You, me – none of us are sinless. (Romans 3:23) All men (and women) in of all history have been guilty of sin – except One.

Sinners will not inherit Heaven. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) No amount of good deeds will make up for our sins or earn us an entrance into Heaven. (Isaiah 64:6)

The One

Justice requires death for sin. And God is just. However, He is also merciful. In order to restore us (and all of creation) to Himself, He provided a sacrifice on our behalf: His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus.

Jesus Christ died in our place. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

By His sacrifice, we can be made new. We can have eternal life in Heaven with Him.

Receive the Gift

To receive this gift of eternal life, we must:

This is how we find hope. We have comfort knowing that His Spirit is working in us, equipping us while we are here on earth. And we have assurance that we will live with Him in eternity.

The Only Way

Do not be deceived. All religions are not alike. Jesus is the only one who died for our sins and then rose from the grave, conquering death.

Jesus Himself claimed that He is “THE WAY.” (John 14:6) There is no other.

I pray that you will follow Him and find true hope and peace.
