On Pro-Life Irony

Irony:

  • The use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning
  • Incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result

Definitions provided by Merriam Webster.

I know a sweet little boy who happens to be living with a wonderful, Christian foster family. Not long ago, he was pointing out his bandaids and telling everyone that he had gotten shots that day. My heart just broke for him and for this family.

The parents are earnestly doing their best to care for orphans and widows. They are admirably living in accordance with their pro-life convictions by adopting and fostering children.

Meanwhile the state requires parents to inject all foster children with products developed from organs and tissues harvested from aborted babies. Not only that, but childhood shots are associated with SIDS, seizures, encephalitis, food allergies, and other deadly issues.

I call that a sickening, evil irony.
